I started reading at the age of about 16, then for multiple people at the age of 18.  A neighboring pack of good old gals showed me the ropes.  Like speaks to like.. as they say.  And very early on I realized something about all the good readers.  It takes TIME to develop your craft.  It takes hard work and time.  I can’t add hot water to this and make it an instant overnight success.   I have had steady and faithful clients now for over a decade.  Not only does it take time but in my younger years I realized that these readers were older.  They had time to do this full time.  They have spent years honing their intuition and gifts.

I am now in a very good position to do just this. No longer are the trappings of the 9-5 for me.  I have time to devote to the craft and nothing but the craft.  And this is what I’m going to start doing.  Every day until the end of 2020, I will give away one free reading to the first person that contacts me.  One question, one answer.

I look forward to reading for you!

Every day, we wake up to new challenges.  Every day, there are natural disasters, acts of hate against the planet, against the humanity we call family and friends, neighbors and colleagues, and for no reason.  Celebrities go on media campaigns throwing hash tags out like #lovewins and #alllivesmatter [which they do you know-this is not a color thing-its an all living matter human or not-thing].  And hopefully they put their money where their mouth is, and that’s great.  That’s what people who can give, should do.    But what about everyone else?  What about the millions of others that watch in disbelief and despair.  The ones that don’t have extra money to give?  Well, we will do the only thing we can.

This is what nurtures and sustains the human spirit.  This is what keeps our dreams alive and gets us up out of bed every day.  What is life, if not hopeful?  Our intentions weave the very fabric of our being.  A little kindness goes a long way.  You think it doesn’t make a difference?  You would be wrong in that thought process.   The kindness you share today, becomes someones inspiration for tomorrow.  So please-pass this on to as many people as you possibly can.  Make it a point to share with the people in your lives, on your facebook pages, just one post from one person is all it takes.  Make it a point to keep HOPE today.  Because tomorrow brings an entirely new set of challenges.

Everything gets paid

Do you remember about 5-10 years back when you were really struggling financially?  And look at you now.  Every bill was paid in some way shape or form right?  There is no cause for worry.  Everything sells, everything gets paid, everything comes and goes.  Your lights got turned back on, you never went hungry, no one starved to death .. am I right?

The point is this… people worry.  They worry about where their next meal is coming from.  They worry about how they’re going to pay their bills, how they’re going to feed their kids, or send them to school.  They worry about their weight, their resume, their job performance.

Everyone take a deep breath!  Inhale for the count of 4 X X X X, exhale for the count of 8! X X X X X X X X.  Repeat that two more times.  Now, the universe knows your intentions. Please make sure you are clear and concise today.  WRITE THEM DOWN.  The universe is no different than any other human being you interact with.  You need to meet them half way.  Nothing comes easy and nothing comes to anyone that does not try.  There are public resources, public libraries, assistance, aid, special programs to get your kids into, start calling local churches, food pantries, shelters-EVERYWHERE and ask them how you get assistance for your lights, or your utilities, or clothing drives or gas cards, or professional wear for job interviews.  ASK AROUND! Help is here-you just need to ask.

Namaste and ALL my love!!!

Did you ever stop and say to yourself “I chose this.. I chose it all”.  Actions are never without consequences, or reactions, good bad or indifferent.  In an attempt to lighten the mood this week [I am knee deep in class alligators] I will provide an analogy of my own.

I am a plus size human!  I chose to eat fried chicken or burgers last night.  And clearly I continue to do so because I am not a size 12 😀  I know this.  I’m not fat because of a family condition, or stress eating, or anything else for that matter.  The donut gets picked up and eaten people.. .LOL let’s be perfectly clear.

If you don’t like where you are, the amount of money in your bank account, or who you’re with? Get OFF YOUR ASS and do something about it.  The universe is at your fingertips.  Don’t tell me that nothing is coming to you but you’re WISHING it would.  DO THE WORK.

This being human is a guest house.
Every morning a new arrival.
A joy, a depression, a meaness,
some momentary awareness comes
as an unexpected visitor.
Welcome and entertain all!
Even if they’re a crowd of sorrows,
who violently sweep your house
empty of its furniture,
still, treat each guest honorably.
He may be clearing you out
for some new delight.
The dark thought, the shame, the malice,
meet them at the door laughing,
and invite them in.
Be grateful for whomever comes,
because each has been sent
as a guide from beyond.

Jalalu’ddin Rumi , 1207-1273
Beloved Persian Poet

I have decided to write exercises here for you once a month. These may include daily mantras or tools designed specifically to get us motivated and practice what we preach. They will be applicable to anyone and everyone based on average real life situations. They care not of your color, belief or societal status. They are a culmination of my learning throughout the years and have benefited me greatly.

Please remember this however. What works for me may not work for you. None of these are concrete in structure and you can change them as often or as little or not at all to suit your own personal needs. My first exercise will be a daily visualization to land that new job you want! I’m very excited to share this with you all and hope you stay tuned.

p.s. My vacation has officially ended.  I just can’t keep my hands or myself away from a pc for more than 48 hours!  I blame Spring.  A welcome change is on it’s way kids.  Bring it on!

Hi Sonic,

Just wanted to say hello (my guides to yours 🙂 and see how you are doing? I’m constantly impressed by how you seem to walk both the awake world of spirits and the world of us restless sleepers without losing your perspective. Mine is that of a bird visiting a fish’s body (must be some karma at work there), trying to remember how to fly while surrounded by a world of water.

My response:
My dearest friend,

I lose my perspective ALL the time lol. I am more unbalanced than a lump of wet dough waiting to be kneaded heeheehee. But I thank you for your kind words and consideration. I find being human an impossible task. Once more it is the cruelties of the human race within this space and time I cannot come to terms with. With much sadness and melancholy does the world revolve on a daily basis with one small wish and hope of making it a better day or a better life for someone with just a word or two. You have given me these today and for that I am indeed grateful.

All my best

Her final response:

Lol! You’re a delight, truly. But a lump of wet dough does have a lot of potential, and it’s quite cohesive from the combination of all its unbalanced parts. So maybe your lack of balance is what makes you want to rise. 🙂 All metaphors aside, I know what you mean about the human condition…

“…And I tried to be as pure as possible to combat all the dirtiness everywhere. Not in the religious sense, but just being, breathing through the pain and the heaviness and the impossible loss of human potential. And it kind of worked, even though my daily drudgery was completely at odds with my spiritual lightness. But maybe that’s why we’re here. To channel the hardness into lightness, even if it’s within ourselves. In a dark world your light shines a long way, you should take as much comfort in it as I and countless others do…light is light after all, even if it’s yours…but I’m sure you know that better than most :)”

Thank you for bringing a smile to my face my friend 🙂

Todays inspirational thought

I wrote this before work today..I hope you enjoy it. Have a wonderful day everyone.

No ego
no vanity
I am not to be admired
go strolling through the gift
simply be inspired

your head in your hands
your heart on your sleeve
you notice the puddle
mother nature did leave

upon your reflection
you gaze into glass
you see a bright purple light
that you hope will last

as you look up to the sun and
feel the winds kiss
you smile briefly and remember
it was the elements you did miss
