Brace yourselves..

Just when you thought it was safe to go back in the water. Swimming isn’t the best idea for boredom. I don’t need tarot orders or requests, I don’t need to make money with this blog. I have fresh air in my lungs, and food in the fridge. I have a warm blanket and a place to lay my head at night. Some people are in dire situations right now because of the pandemic. We are going on well over 6 months of people without their jobs, people losing their homes, children not being able to eat. But just when we think we’ve seen the worst of the worst, it’s going to go beyond the horror.

This holiday season I BEG YOU to stay home. I BEG you not to have family parties. PLEASE.. do not gather.. we are all still at risk, from the grocery stores, to the gas stations, to every single thing we touch. This is not out of fear, it is out of genuine concern and love. Look back through pandemic statistics after the July 4th holiday in the US this year. Numbers do not lie. People are still dying at an alarming rate. This virus is not done with us. The only way to force it out, is to sit and wait #alonetogether. Please pass this along to everyone you know, and tag it in other blogs.

I love you all,

This is an unprecedented time in our history.  The existing pandemic has tested our ability to remain kind.  Shaken to our very cores, some of us have failed, and miserably at that.  I lost my mother to Covid [this is not to lament-only to prove a point] this year.  And yet, good can come from bad.  There is a silver lining in everything we see unfolding around us.  My actions, my choices during this period have tested me every day and yet I can STILL walk away with my head high and a smile on my face, with peace in my soul.  Knowing that at every turn I have made the best decisions for my loved ones and for myself.

So where is your smile?  Where is your peace?  You’d better find it.  Because living in fear can kiss ALL of our *sses.  Fear is not the way to go folks-no matter what decision is upon us.  Only kindness and love wins.

Regardless of the color of your skin

Regardless of the hardships you face

I PROMISE you-someone right now has it so much worse…

I started reading at the age of about 16, then for multiple people at the age of 18.  A neighboring pack of good old gals showed me the ropes.  Like speaks to like.. as they say.  And very early on I realized something about all the good readers.  It takes TIME to develop your craft.  It takes hard work and time.  I can’t add hot water to this and make it an instant overnight success.   I have had steady and faithful clients now for over a decade.  Not only does it take time but in my younger years I realized that these readers were older.  They had time to do this full time.  They have spent years honing their intuition and gifts.

I am now in a very good position to do just this. No longer are the trappings of the 9-5 for me.  I have time to devote to the craft and nothing but the craft.  And this is what I’m going to start doing.  Every day until the end of 2020, I will give away one free reading to the first person that contacts me.  One question, one answer.

I look forward to reading for you!

My pug is 12+ years old now and he’s been sick quite frankly, since he was 3 months old.  After DNA testing and many different research projects I have come to realize that he was a breeding experiment used to create a “pugabull”.  Hence, his health problems.  Don’t get me wrong-hes a happy go lucky wonderful little guy, always has been. And I want his life!  But in the past 2 years he’s become diabetic [not uncommon].  I would just like to share the information my better half and I have discovered about this boy so other pug parents can lighten their load so to speak, and have many options.

  1. Pugs/dogs in general can be picky eaters.  If your pet doesn’t eat, he can’t get his insulin, and that creates havoc and a horrid cycle of never knowing what to do at feeding time.  It’s pure stress on the owner.  We have discovered 3 key options when feeding our boy and it has been consistent for weeks now.
  • creating a low sugar diabetic meatball and sprinkling half over his food enticed him to eat.  We just use turkey, fatty ground beef [otherwise its too dry and they may develop stool issues] quick oats, and some oregano.
  • sprinkling a little shredded cheese over the meal [we call it the stink factor] really gets him investigating everything in the bowl and he eats 99% of whatever we put in there now
  • in the mornings-I was noticing he would randomly NOT want anything to do with his bowl, OR the homemade meatball!  My better half read up on the subject-it seems that dogs can get a sour stomach at night, building up bile [specifically diabetics] and that if we gave him just a little something before bed, that would subside, so turkey meatball tastings were in order.  We now make the meatballs big enough to cut into 3rds.  One piece for both meal times, and one before bed.  Weeks later I am  happy to say he’s eating every day without fail!

2. If your animal has gas issues, it’s a direct result of what you’re feeding him.  We feel [sometimes] that variety is the spice of life for our fur babies, and this is just not the case.  It can be harmful to them and their digestion.  One KEY FACTOR of a diabetic is how much water they drink.  If you notice that your animal is going for the water bowl immediately after you feed him a specific kind of treat STOP giving it to him.  More water is due to a salty dehydration factor, and that also means the animals sugars are out of whack.  Stop that immediately.

3. Just because your animal likes all kinds of treats from the same brand, doesn’t mean they are good for them.  Please check the kcal on each treat type and find the lowest one possible.  Once you’ve done that stick to the same schedule and do NOT give them treats all throughout the day.  Remember you’re trying to be consistent, this is a senior animal and pugs especially are ALL about the food.  Don’t let them troll you into the guilt treat! lol..

And finally, never EVER say to yourself “he’s old.. he can have whatever he wants now”.  Do not fool yourself into making that mistake.  They can NOT have excessive sugars/treats/intake throughout the day.  Keep them healthy and happy-and you can only do that by giving them what they need, not what they want.

I wish you and your fur babies happiness and health in this ever changing 2020!

Love, Sonic, boo boo, and G ❤

The 2020 Experiment

Following your own advice is difficult.  It’s not like having a cheat day when you’re on a diet, or a once a year spa day to treat yourself.  With your own voices, bargaining, reasoning, outside influence, world opinion, social media, family and friends ALL chiming in on what is good and right about any given situation…we forget.  We forget ourselves in the overwhelming current and get sucked away by the tide.  Being true to yourself is the one thing in this life you need to remember to be.

I’ve said it a million times, and feel the need to continue to remind myself and my clients.  LISTEN to your instincts.  You know when you’re sick, you know when a situation is good or bad, you KNOW if you meet someone and your spidey sense tingles not to trust them to just walk away.  So if you’re in a professional environment that is toxic, or a friendly party/gathering situation that doesn’t seem right to you?  Or you’re continually dragged through it by a family member that only wishes ill on everyone?  Walk away.

The experiment in 2020 is to remove all negativity.  Remove everything *you* think is toxic in your life.  Everyone wants to be happy but they don’t put in the work.  Anything good and pure deserves love and attention, like cultivating a gorgeous garden.  At the bare minimum here folks, isn’t a beautiful view what this is all about?

Think about it..Namaste

Here we are again

On the cusp of another decade.  Do you remember when 1999 New years eve approached and everyone in the US was going to freak out because the tech advancements were rumored to not be able to handle the numeric change?  People were in a frenzy.  The mass hysteria took over, and the shelves at the grocery store went bare in anticipation of having to hunker down because technology would fail us the second it turned midnight.  Well my friends, midnight came and went, and nothing happened.

In the upcoming decade I would like to advise you on some things that will be to your benefit.  Keeping in mind the principles of feng shui, numerology and universal law.  Your life chart changes every 10 years.  Can you think back to the late 90’s? Do you remember where you were?  What you’ve gone through in the first 5 years of 2010 and the last 5 years of 2015?  It seems like a lifetime ago.  And yet we’re still here.  Are we wiser?  Have we learned from our mistakes and adopted new life goals?  I for one, am still eating donuts…that is my mistake LOL but one I am blissfully happy to make.

Do you know your Kua number?  let’s start there.  Go HERE to determine your personal Kua number. Then go HERE to see what it means, and plan the days accordingly.  There is no real easy answer to explain all of this, so I just have to leave the breadcrumbs in hopes you find the aha moment for yourselves.  I generally use numerology when determining if a street address or apartment number is favorable for the circumstance.  For example I was recently offered 2 different apartments during a move process.  The first apartments number was 1033 and the other was 1031.  You have to go with your personal intuition here.  I chose 1033 as the new space to enjoy my future in.  Direction is also very important in the home, it signifies the flow of energy.  Some people wonder why they cannot sleep at night, or are restless in their own homes for any give reason. All of these factors [feng shui] play a part in our day to day lives.

See the chart below:

  • Three (3) – as “growth”;
  • Four (4) – as “death”;
  • Five (5) – as “nothing”;
  • Six (6) – as “wealth”;
  • Seven (7) – as “certainly”;
  • Eight (8) – as “prosperity”;
  • 9 (nine) – as “longevity”.

OR could be interpreted as:

  • 1 – a symbol of independence;
  • 2 – a symbol of diplomacy, tact, and romantic relationships;
  • 3 – a symbol of creativity, a happy life;
  • 4 – a symbol of the slow, overcoming obstacles, but steady progress;
  • 5 – a symbol of change, diversity, including travel;
  • 6 – a symbol of home and family responsibilities;
  • 7 – a symbol of spirituality, wisdom and knowledge;
  • 8 – a symbol of money;
  • 9 – symbol of love.

I urge you to pass this on to anyone you know that would find the information interesting.  If you want to start out the new decade on the right foot, and the right path then by all means, throw a little feng shui knowledge their way and give them food for thought.  But also?  Practice what you preach!  I’m still working on that.. 30+ years later…Happy new year my friends.. please stay safe tonight all over the world.
